Malcolm Gladwell, lauded author of bestsellers like Blink and The Tipping Point, will release his next book in the upcoming year.
David and Goliath will be primarily about how underdogs actually win at a surprisingly high rate throughout life’s arenas.
On an aside though, the notion of coming from a place of weakness and winning is not all that foreign. The Vietnam war was a great example of ‘David’ snatching a victory. In sports, crowd favourites are often upset by weaker players or teams. Even in life, we often hear of rags-to-riches success stories.
Being Gladwell, I am certain a refreshing perspective will be presented. Though his last book What The Dog Saw didn’t quite do it for me — it felt more like a smattering of scraps from his previous works cobbled together to sell a book — I still wait with healthy anticipation for David and Goliath.
